Spring is around the corner, but it may be stuck at a red light. :o)
Just this week, Annie has thought about the most important things, ideas, values, whatevers, that she would like her children to learn about life. In the end, they'll be the ones who decide what to keep and what to toss. If there is one important (and maybe the only important) viewpoint or way of life they heed, Annie hopes it will be this:
God #1 in all things.
While pondering the simple sentence with its complex implications, Annie stumbled upon Rich Zubaty and The Rude Guy's March Podcast. Sorry, Rude Guy ... we've been essentially off line for a couple months. The message in Rich's March Podcast (featuring an important Spiritual Pilgrimmage made) was apropos and timely. Here is an excerpt:
from the Rude Guy, March 1, 2007 Podcast:
".......says Bede, the psychic world is incapable of distinguishing between good and evil. Psychic priests can heal people, lead them off on ecstatic emotional adventures, then turn around and commit unspeakable outrages. But the spiritual realm contains NO evil."
"Why does this matter? Because the institutions of our time have utterly failed us. They have failed to evolve. Science has evolved. Music has evolved. Human culture has evolved. But we are still organizing our lives around institutional frameworks which were invented when men rode horses, and women wove their own cloth. Government, corporations, universities, and
religions, comprise a vast and incestuous mutual aid society… each contributing to the agenda of the other. Universities train students to work for corporations… which make piles of money to BUY political candidates… who bomb other countries in the name of God and Freedom… so corporations can make more money, and fund universities to train more students. Where
do we get off the merry-go-round? It’s killing us. Everyone knows there’s something wrong, something rotting our souls, but we don’t know what to do about it – and religion doesn’t help. It SHOULD, but it doesn’t."
"Religion should help us stand outside the merry-go-round of material society, and build relationships which are not monetized… NOT based on money. But religion has simply turned into another business. Another psychic nightmare. Another hand, out, asking for money… to make us “feel” good. Horrendous. [Outrageous???] We were not put here to “feel good.” That’s
just more feminized dementia. We were put here to seek the Will of God. Wherever it may lead us."
