Wanted to take a moment to offer thanks to God for He is great. He is good. Thank you for your blogging "friendship" over the years. You are a great joy in my life!
I'm thankful for our country, the U.S. It has had its ups and downs ... many downs ... but I have great hope for its future and trust that all evil will be vanquished, all corruption will be uncovered, and all pain will be healed. I am thankful for free speech and pray that I've not ever used it as a tool to promote hate or sow seeds of discontent that are unwarranted.
I am grateful for family, friends, sunny skies, soft rains, puppy kisses, shoes that fit, a warm winter coat, things that we never thought we'd achieve, a roof over our heads, work, play, and everything in between. As we sit down with our families, friends, or not ... it would be nice if we could give up a little or big prayer for those who still struggle with homelessness, hunger, poverty, mental illness/addictions, pain, unemployment.

Happy thanksgiving Tink.

Tink, you've said it all so well, so eloquently and intelligently. Humbling words of wisdom to me, as always.
You've been an inspiration to me over the years, too; I remember the first impression you made on me, over on Pete's blog. I'd said something about having once wanted to be a drummer (as a teen) and you enthusiastically told me "it's not too late!" (LOL, I have no desire to be a drummer anymore). The point is, you uplifted me!
Thanks. Hope your day was great with the kids.
All the best,
Lucy. xoxo

Awww... thanks Grace, Lucy, and Dale! You're the best!
Lucy, I have to admit that I do not remember the drummer episode, but it does remind that my daughter has a current desire to become a drummer. Saints preserve us! Guitar and drums. I said we'll start with guitar, so we'll see what Santa can do this year. I did see one of those tabletop drum sets for beginning drummers. It was quite inexpensive. But, I want to see how serious she'll be with the guitar. She's learning to read music with the Recorder (in school) so once she's well experienced with guitar, I'll consider drums. This will give me a couple years to save $$ and buy lots of earplugs. :o)
Hope everyone is well and feeling blessed.
