SO! It's 2/22. 222. Do you remember the t.v. series Room 222?

The series was set at an integrated high school in contemporary Los Angeles. While the narrative centered around a dedicated and student-friendly African-American history teacher, Pete Dixon (Lloyd Haynes), it also depended upon an ensemble cast of students and other school employees. The optimistic idealism of Pete, guidance counselor Liz McIntyre (Denise Nicholas), and student-teacher Alice Johnson (Karen Valentine) was balanced by the experienced, somewhat jaded principal, Seymour Kaufman (Michael Constantine). These characters and a handful of other teachers would spend each episode arguing among themselves about the way in which to go about both educating their students and acting as surrogate parents.
A season and a half before Norman Lear made "relevant" programming a dominant genre with the introduction of programs like All in the Family and Maude, Room 222 was using the form of the half-hour comedy to discuss serious contemporary issues.
During its five seasons on the air, the show included episodes that dealt with such topics as racism, sexism, homophobia, dropping out of school, shoplifting, drug use among both teachers and students, illiteracy, cops in school, guns in school, Vietnam war veterans, venereal disease, and teenage pregnancy.
This series ran from 1969 to 1974!!
And the beat goes on to this day ...
So, 222. Over the last few years, I have felt like I was being stalked by triple digits or the same combinations of digits. 111, 222, 444, 555, 333, 911, 1111, 1010, appearing at random and sometimes multiple times in a day. On billboards, on license plates, the clock, t.v., books, magazines, grocery store receipts, grocery store sales, grocery store displays, the $ amounts on the gas pump. Don't know what this means - if anything - but was told that it's a higher power making an appearance. Angels. Messengers. God if you will. Don't know. Might never know, but when it happens, I always have a feeling of impending something. Sometimes it's a real comfort, sometimes not. Sarah, age 10, has a simpler explanation. "We're on the Truman Show!"
From um .. Kandi & Faith at In Light Times:
The Number 1 - Put Attention To Your Desires
When you notice 1’s, at that time there is a clear connection with heaven, and it’s the best time to focus on your desires. Due to this connection, you can manifest these desires at a quicker or more rapid pace.
The Number 2 - Have Faith!
When you notice 2’s, the Angels are saying, have faith, keep going, don’t give up, you are doing well and on the brink of manifesting your desires! Be patient and keep your thoughts positive.
The Number 3 - Represents Ascended Masters
When you notice 3’s, the Ascended Masters are working with you on important projects. These are the Great Masters (teachers) whom have been among us, and are represented in many religions.
The Number 4 - The Angels
When you notice 4’s, the Angels are with you at this very moment, supporting and loving you.
The Number 5 - Changes
When you notice 5’s, this means significant transformation is going on within you, to bring you more into alignment, with the real you. You are being transformed into a beautiful butterfly.
The Number 6 - Balance Between Heaven & Earth
When you notice 6’s, there is an imbalance due to too much thought on earthly worries and concerns. It is a good time to pray or mediate to help lift your vibration to a higher level.
The Number 7 - You’re Doing Great!
When you notice 7’s, you’re on a roll — the Angels are applauding you! They are giving you kudo’s, congratulations, you’re doing a great job and keep up the good work!
The Number 8 - Abundance
When you notice 8’s, you are manifesting financial prosperity at this time. Be open to receiving these blessings from heavenly Angels as well as earthly Angels.

I was wondering if you abondoned your blog Tink. Glad to see you back. Not sure about the pop ups? I have never encountered that issue.
The number thing is really interesting, there are days when certain numbers are more frequent, and I'll say, hmm, should play the lotto. but now i see there is more to it. cool. I have never seen Rm. 22. I know of it.
Thanks Grace Nah .. just regrouping. lol I was a young teen when Room 222 first aired, so I missed many episodes. But, of the ones I watched ... I really liked it.
Yeah, numbers. I was in this little corner store called "Quick Pick Up" ... E. Indian family owns it. I think they don't yet grasp all the nuance of English. lol Anyway, on 3 successive visits, my receipt totals were 11.10, 7.11, and 11.77. I was going to play Lotto quick pick, but didn't. Those numbers didn't come up anyway. It was weird.
Yes, I DO remember Room 222. Totally.
My best friend in grade school, her dad was a pilot for Delta, and she once told me the story of Karen Valentine being on his plane.
Cat Stevens also. Two famous people I remember her telling me her dad flew.
(funny -- and then years later I became a HUGE CS fan)
WEIRD about the stalking numbers! I know what you mean. That reminds me of something I've been meaning to blog about.
Probably tomorrow.
(when you told me I was on the Truman Show the other day (about my Vlasic Pickle jar top story) -- you TOTALLY hit the mark. Or, rather, Sarah did. :-)
I heard once that when a weird number keeps striking you, you're supposed to take note of what it is you're doing or thinking at that very moment. TUNE IN to yourself to find the message.
P.S. Tink - I thought your pop-ups were on purpose. I thought you had ads going. (maybe you should!)
Wow, I remember room 222 well growing up as a child. Karen Valentine was the actor I remember most - perhaps because I was young and wanted to be grown up like her. But, Pete on the show was my favourite character. Perhaps because he reminded me of one of my black elementary school teachers. Thanks for bringing back the memories.
