"It Shocks You...." "What lays buried ...."
Poor Cosmo. It surely shocked him! What lay buried in the hearts of his "fellow comedians." I can only call you a "N...gg..r" if I'm black, a "Sp...c" if I'm Hispanic, but I can call you "Honky" whenever I want and in whatever context I choose, no matter my color or ethnicity. Because I'm a victim! I'm oppressed! I'm *entitled* to it. TSK! TSK! What a bunch of hypocrites, calling for scapegoat blood. Here's what everyone missed. The quote. "What lays buried..." Not only in the hearts and souls of all people, but what still lays buried and mostly sleeping in a rather collective consciousness. Give us Barabbas! Apparently, every so often, in the time warp, a King has to be skewered. It serves Powers we'd rather not have to think about and that we'd rather deny, particularly in our own hearts. Is Michael Richards a "King" of Comedy or a "King" of anything and is it not preposterous to compare John F. Kennedy to him? Maybe. King and Court Jester?
All Annie knows for sure is that a President was assassinated at a time when the masses had the greatest hopes for a "We The People, By The People, *For* The People" government. We also had faith and trust in a Leader, something that is sorely lacking and has been lacking for 40 years. Wasn't that cut down rather quickly? To our thinking, this country did not recover from that killing. And the traumatic shock to our hearts, our very souls was anticipated and used over the intervening years for purposes of controlling the "Sheeple." Us. John Kennedy was one kind of blood scapegoat and in a sublimated way, so is Michael Richards. Just some food for soul thought as we approach the Day of Great Feasting.
.... and we had high hopes, yes, we had high hopes. High apple pie, in the sky, hopes. Once there was a silly old Ram, thought he'd punch a hole in the dam. No one could make that Ram scram, he kept on buttin' that dam. He had high hopes, high hopes.
Keep on buttin' those dams, Cosmo. You've got help from places and spirits you'd never dream of in a million years.
