It's baaaaack. Dazed and confuzed as we start the next round of hectic schedules. Yep, school started up last week, actually. Thanks for all the love and support while we've been "away."
Here is information on my brother, Tim. So many of you have asked and sent love, support, prayers which are MUCH appreciated. Keep the prayers coming.
Tim is at home being cared for by his wife, children, and hospice staff. Family and friends have organized a benefit for Tim and his family. The cancer has spread from the lung to the brain and into multiple areas in the bones. He is very weak and frequently has severe pain. Any support you may be able to offer would be greatly appreciated.
Tim is really amazing. His sense of humor, his sense of irony have not dimmed in the darkness that cancer can bring to a soul. He remains primarily concerned for his children and for others. That's Tim. Always about others. A unique man and brother who is going to be missed from this Earth.

Hope your days are fine, full of love & laughter, and much joy!
Love,
Tink

Very touching piece on Tim, thanks for the update, Tink. Beautiful family.
I perused the benefit site -- very nice. Wish I could go! :-)
Any way one could bid on the basket raffle from afar? I would love to help in some small way. Thanks for the link.
(I was glad to see an update coming over on my site this evening telling me Tink had a long-awaited blog post. :-))
Much love,
Lucy.
Oh, Tink, I am so sorry to hear about Tim.
He sounds like such a warm and caring person. Why do such things happen to those souls who least deserve it?
My thoughts and prayers are with Tim and all of you.
Well, after a very difficult year, I think I am more ready for the start of school than I was last fall.
It's great to see you again and take care!
Hiya Lucy! and Dale! Thank you for the lovely comments on Tim. He really is a great guy! Lucy I'm sorry to say the raffles will only be held during the Benefit itself. It just would have been too tricky to offer that long distance. I wish you could come too! I hope this is *your* year Dale -one in which all good things come your way. I will get back to blogging soon. Am taking more hours at work now and with 3 kids vying for the 'puter .. LOL! .. it's a very small time window to get out and about on the 'net. I so appreciate your well wishes and prayers. It means more than you can know.
XO Tink
p.s. Lucy Is there a trick I don't know on how to 'follow' someone's blog posts? I would love to have all of yours set so that I know when you update and/or post.
Hi there Tink!
So nice to hear from you. My love goes out to you, and your brother and your family. He sounds amazing.
I missed when you posted, have been checking in :)
take care, xox
Hi Tink,
Thanks for answering about the raffle.
As for the blogger updates, it's easy! Just go to your blog layout, click on "add a Gadget" and choose "blog list."
(my computer's broken, Tink, and I'm typing this from my daughter's tonight, so I may not be able to make it back for a bit! Just so you know)
Best, best wishes,
Lucy.
Hey Tink...Welcome back!!!
I am on my way out the door to work right now at 10pm (ughhh)so I'll have to come back later and read the post. For now I just wanted to say thanks for dropping by and leaving the comments you did. A lot has been going on here in the last couple months.
Rob
Awww Man Tink...I just read your post and I'm very sorry to hear about Tim's worsening condition. I am glad to hear that he is handling it with humor and care for his loved ones. It amazes me how well some people deal with this type of thing...My Mom was the same way. Watching what she went through and how she handled it made me love and respect her all the more. I only hope I would be so brave in such times. Please pass on my love and prayers to Tim and all who are close to him and let's all hope for a miracle...You never know.
Sincerely,
Rob
Hi Tink, just drroppin by to say hello, glad to see you back in blogaction.
Thank you Grace and Rob for the thoughts and prayers. Thanks Lucy for the added info on blogrolling. I'll do that later.
The benefit was a HUGE success. Over 2,000 people attended. It was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. The funds raised are going into trusts for his children after medical bills are paid, etc.
Hope to be back back blogging more frequently. I'm working more hours now, so it's always iffy. Had to update my computer equipment for work, as the hospital is moving into voice recognition for the radiology department. It will be interesting. But now we have 2 computers so the kids will be able to have one for their stuff and I can keep one just for work.
Lucy I hope your 'puter is all better. We had massive rainfall last weekend that caused lots of flooding and power outages. For the most part, power is all back on. I feel so bad for you Ohio and Texas folks. Have been hoping that Lucy's area was spared.
Talk later!
xo Tink
