God Bless America

We surely need it. I think this family represents everything that is wrong with America and more importantly ... everything that is *right* with America.

Have a safe and happy 4th ~*~

Very nice story and great performance! Thanks for posting such a nice 4th type tribute.

And did you see all those Xs?? On the judges' panel, on the stage, and over the stage? ;-)

oh my, they are brilliant. All acapella(sp?)
I really enjoyed that, it gave me goosebumps.

Happy safe 4th to you and your family Tink.
I am thankful for my freedom, and my country.

Sorry .. missed your 4th July comments! Yes, Lucy, I should have put this one under the "X files" hahaha! Yeah, Grace ... when those kids sang the second line, it sounded like an entire CHOIR was singing. I was goosebumped from head to toe. Such a shame about the drunk driver hitting their mom. I was very annoyed that they didn't give ... not one! ... kudo to the father there. I'm pretty sure none of them could have gotten through 8 months of mom in a coma without dad being right there, as he was that day.

But, it was a beautiful moment and testament to the great things we all can do and be. And none of it has to do with politicians or dark side secrets of the rich and famous or anyone being better than anyone else. I loved the humbleness of this family and was so happy that they've gone so far beyond the trauma they endured!

Our 4th was simple as well. We were upset about the robin eggs deteriorating and the incredible loud booms that went on for hours. But, then around 9:30 pm it got quieter and the beautiful skyworks started. It had rained all day and finally ended around that time. So, we stood on the porch watching the fireworks over the treetops and ended up having a nice evening.
