9th straight day of rain, Noah. How long can you tread water? ha. So, the last couple weeks were a bit chaotic around here. My head has been the occasionally annoying receptor for all sorts of random bits of song. So, today - I am writing sort of free form and letting it all float out into the stars or somewhere. If you can make sense of it all and pull it together into some cohesive form then "wooly bully" for you! lol
Actually, the Carpenter's "hit" song - "Rainy Days and Mondays" floated through for quite some time; however, that one is understandable considering the gloomy weather that has tenaciously prevailed. Took the children out for errands this morning and Holy Moses!Blow The Man Down with the rain and wind! :o)
Okay, enough of the song snippets. heh. The last couple weeks [okay - make that last couple of *years*] have been chockfull of synchronous moments with people, events, everything. A "synchro" understanding buddy has been known to call waves of weirdness and synchronicity: "erks." I also like "clonk" - because when so many synchro moments come crashing in, it feels like someone filled a silly stick with Twister spin dials, all turning on "fast!" and taps you on the head. And if the inner noise *that* makes could be fashioned into an external sound, it would be "ERK" and "CLONK" - like hitting the brakes fast, skidding, and tilting sideways ala Fred Flintstone. :o)
Sing this to the tune of "Rainy Days and Mondays." It's what floated into my synchro space this morning:
Rainy Days and Twister Always Spin Me 'Round :o)
talkin' thru my hand and feelin' slow,
sometimes I pitch a fit,
feelin' like an unscratched itch;
walkin' on down,
feets pushed me through the ground;
rainy days and Twister always spin me 'round.
when it stops no one really knows,
nothing is really real,
just itchy is how i feel,
walkin' on down,
feets pushed me through the ground;
rainy days and Twister always spin me 'round.
Funny but it seems i always spin around the mat;
nice to know some things are consistent,
funny but it seems i always lose my favorite hat,
run and find a bigger rain tent.
When i reel it comes and goes as before,
no need to write a lot,
talkin' hands find the spot,
walkin' on down,
feets pushed me through the ground;
rainy days and Twister always spin me 'round.
[ok - "itch" *was* "bitch" - but hey ... the kids are singing it with me.]
ha!
