Mother's Day and 'tater tots

Isn't it every day for us? Today, while circumstances bring Annie to a place of daily parenting alone, there is a handful of family and a particular man who have supported Annie in ways unseen and even unknown, at times, to them. Annie would like to thank you especially today. Some days, a simple "hello, how you doing?" can mean the difference between hitting the edge or pushing upwards in joy. It's true. For Mom, Sis, Bro, and Dynamo. Sometimes the best way to support and love the children is to support and love their Mom. And you have. All of you. Parenting is not easy. Parenting special needs kids is less easy. Annie's best advice is to know well with whom you are entering into a relationship. And most importantly, know yourself well before making such a life-changing and deep commitment to another. Clear mind, clear heart, clear spirit. God #1 in all things and the rest falls into place. Yes, people change - life-altering events occur but, from experience, Annie's fairly confident that many of the broken homes and lost children seen today were preventable.

Above are photos of a beautiful stone heart the children received a number of years ago (left) from Dynamo's land. Next to it, is an incredible potato found this week. We love the earth and all her gifts. We especially love rocks, stones, and potatoes! They just begged to be part of this Mother's Day post.
