I Want To Go

To the islands. My soul is stuck on Hawaii lately. Just can't get it out of my mind. Trade winds, cool ocean surf, warm sand, swaying palms, gardenia and hibiscus, succulent pineapple, soft rainfall, awesome mountain and volcano flows, orchid leis, year-round sandals, echoes on punchbowl crater, hearing the native language ... so musical to my ears. My Grandfather's brother lived on Oahu for most of his life post WW II. Most of his family have gone on to live mainland, but I'm sure there are some cousins still out there somewhere. We lost touch with this wing of the paternal family many years ago (mainly after Dad died.) It would be nice to find the cousins and get the real poop on Hawaiian Living ... In the meantime .. I dream ....

Hey now Tink! Sorry I haven't been by lately. I've been tied up with work and stuff. I see you've been busy posting and dreaming. I've never been to Hawaii myself but at least I'm in SoCal. Things could be worse right?

Anyway, a belated Happy Easter to you...hope you had a great weekend!

Awww ... Happy Anniversary Grace! Did you celebrate??? Make a doggy biscuit cake and all? I'll have to stop by your place today and catch up. Still dreaming of tropical places. :o)

It's quite alright, Rob! You have no obligation to visit. But, it's always very nice to have you stop by. I had a chance to read your new Phil post last night, but have to get back and re-read and comment. It's a great post! Yeah .. things sure could be worse eh? We could be having GW for another 4. hahahahaha!

I too, did dream of the South Pacific...knowing full-well it was only a dream.

Two years ago I was granted my dream - and was not disappointed. It was a dream and I was granted it. Lucky - yes. Very - yes!

Fiji was our destination, and it was magical. Including the 31 hours it took to get there.

Dream on, Tink!

Bad blogger, Tink! :o)

Grace .. glad the puppy party was fun!

Dale! Fiji sounds like heaven. So glad you had the chance to fulfill a dream. My Grandmother took me to Hawaii when I was 10. We visited my Grandfather's relatives. I fell in love even back then. I was VERY young to have been gifted with such an amazing journey.

31 hours ... yikes! The anticipation level must have been notched up to HIGH EXTREME!
