I do believe in spooks ... I do I do I do

I just can't get the Wizard of Oz out of my head today. The lion to be specific. Courage!

Speaking of Spooks:

DUBAI (Reuters) – Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden said U.S. President Barack Obama had planted the seeds of "revenge and hatred" toward the United States in the Muslim world and warned Americans to prepare for the consequences.

Is that a Swatch ? CIA issue? :o)

A new crop circle appeared on the 1st of June this year in a barley field near Barbury Castle in Wiltshire, England, measuring 150 feet in diameter and correctly representing the first 10 digits of the irrational constant pi.

If you look at figure 1, you will notice that the grooves in the circle spiral outwards with steps at various points along the way. Taking a look now at figure 2, you will see that these steps occur at particular angles — the circle is divided into 10 equal segments of 36 degrees each. Starting at the centre, you can see that the first section is 3 segments wide. Then there is a step and underneath this step is a small circle. This is the decimal point. The next section is 1 segment wide and then there is another step. The following section is 4 segments wide, and so on until the final number encoded is 3.141592654. Michael Reed, the astrophysicist who first decoded the image, is quoted on earthfiles.com as saying:

"The fact that the Pi decimal point is included and there is rounding up to 10 decimal places is to me a little mind boggling!"

The location of the new Pi crop circle is 51.488258 degrees north, 1.771964 west, but unfortunately it has not yet appeared on Google maps.

LIVERMORE, Calif. (AP) — The world's most powerful laser, created to help keep tabs on the nation's nuclear weapons stockpile while also studying the heavens, has been unveiled.

The super laser, known officially as the National Ignition Facility, was unveiled Friday at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory about 50 miles east of San Francisco.

The NIF, which is the size of a football field, consists of 192 separate laser beams, each traveling 1,000 feet in one-thousandth of a second to converge simultaneously on a target the size of a pencil eraser.

Beginning next year, scientists also will use the laser for experiments aimed at creating controlled fusion reactions similar to those found in the sun.

"More energy will be produced by this ignition process than the amount of laser energy required to start it. This is the long-sought goal of energy gain that has been the goal of fusion researchers for more than half a century," said NIF director Edward Moses.

Moses supposes the NIF might power roses. :o)

Some other interesting "NIF" acronyms:

New Israel Fund
Nuclear Information File
Navy Industrial Fund
National Islamic Front

Speaking of Israel and Islamic fronts, isn't Pharaoh Obama visiting Egypt this week?

Cowardly Lion: Courage! What makes a king out of a slave? Courage! What makes the flag on the mast to wave? Courage! What makes the elephant charge his tusk in the misty mist, or the dusky dusk? What makes the muskrat guard his musk? Courage! What makes the sphinx the seventh wonder? Courage! What makes the dawn come up like thunder? Courage! What makes the Hottentot so hot? What puts the "ape" in apricot? What have they got that I ain't got?

Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Woodsman: Courage!

Cowardly Lion: You can say that again! Huh?

Anyway ....

I believe that these intricate circles are produced by satellite computer-programmed laser beams of some sort. Think of how a photo or drawing can be "fed" into a bakery frosting-print device and that photo/drawing is then produced onto the top of a cake in edible form. Sorta the same. Like frosting on the crops. :o)

From Sacred Texts:

http://www.sacred-texts.com/ufo/circles1.htm

Since the inception of SDI (the Star Wars program), Man has had the
capability of projecting high intensity laser beams followed
immediately by EXTREMELY high electrical charges aimed at targets on
the planet.

SDI uses very high intensity lasers (EXCIMER LASERS) to generate and
project these beams of UltraViolet light.

High intensity UV light cohered into laser beams IONIZES the air
through which the beam passes thus creating a conducting path.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

How Star Wars works

The idea is :

1) to build up a very high electrical charge in the satellite,

2) target a structure from space using a weak UV laser

3) increase the amplitude of the UV laser beam until a highly
ionized path is created from the satellite to the target

4) this ionized path acts as an electrical conductor much like a
wire being thrown from the satellite to the target

5) the electrical energy is then transferred to the laser beam
path which passes the artificial "lightning" to the target

6) as the electrical energy passes into the target, the
molecules are electrostatically repelled with explosive
velocities causing the target to explode.

The Turf War Behind the Monster Jellyfish Crop Circle
by Vera H-C Chan

Conspiracists — and Brits — are all atwitter about a crop circle that appeared at an Oxfordshire barley field. Instead of circles, the creators have become far more artistic (or they've figured out how to use Earth landmowers). The "circle" is in the shape of a 600-foot jellyfish — a first, as far as we know — and the BBC has posted an aerial video of the creature.

The overnight sensation launched Web searches for "jellyfish crop circle," "crop circles aliens," "crop circles conspiracies," and — for the DIY crowd — "crop circle patterns." Previous lawn artworks have appeared in the form of birds, butterflies, and, last year, the first 10 digits of pi (you know, 3.141592654).

OK, say this grassy rendering isn't an alien self-portrait. Even so, the massive carve-out is impressive. Karen Alexander, a croppy (the name for experts in this, er, field), says this one's "absolutely huge — roughly three times bigger than...most crop patterns, and extremely interesting. People have been aghast at the size of it. It is a complete monster."

What human motivations could lie behind this? The English countryside could be facing a turf war, as Oxfordshire looks to poach tourists from Wiltshire. That town's currently the crop-circle capital, thanks to a lovely 350-foot yin-yang symbol near an ancient burial mound. Or who knows? Maybe the recent outbreak is an homage to a late crop-circle researcher, who recently passed away at age 90.

Either way, lucky landowners Bill and Sally Ann Spence aren't thrilled about being the owner of a giant jellyfish imprint. Not that the artwork isn't "beautiful," but they're asking visitors to stop tramping over their poor crops for a look-see, and instead get a helicopter and hover. The Spences won't be asking the local cops to track down the renegade crop artists. As if earthling law enforcement has jurisdiction over alien jellyfish."

Some day, we'll all know the whole truth and nuttin' but da truth.

On a sweet note, here are the little cheepers in photo taken this afternoon. All sleepy except I spy one little peeper open. :o)

AWWW!!!! That is an amazing piece of robin documentary! I remember when they was just eggs!

You are so lucky to be hostess to the tweeters.

As for the crop circles and such. Totally creepy, in my book. You're freakin' me out again, Tink! It's 2012 all over again for me. ;-)

Re: Osama's swatch. Wonder what it would go for on Ebay.

(Can you believe what Obama said about us being a Muslim country?)

I do see one eye open in the robin's nest!
He is the smart one - sleep with one eye open~watch for the spooks.!

Oh that crop circle. wow!

I never was in support of Obama, just support of my country, but when you see him in news reports and such, he just doesn't gain the respect a 'President' should? know what I mean?

don't know that we'll ever know the whole truth. It's a big web of tangled tales.

That was certainly a headful, Tink!
I am fascinated by the concept of numbers and infinity and how they relate to life and the world around us. That spiral incorporating pi seems similar to the Fibonacci spiral. It is mind-boggling, for sure!
As for the wee feathered ones, have they shown any sign of fledging yet?

xx

Hiya Lucy, Grace, Dale!

Aww .. no need to freak out, Lucy. I don't think it's aliens. It's probably gov't techno-geeks. lol Well, if we could get that watch on e-bay, imagine what his *head* would go for! ew.

I read the transcript of the B.O. speech cuz I missed the broadcasts. I think he was trying to show that all people have "common" threads. I dunno. I felt as if he was sort of patronizing. Yeah, Grace.. sometimes I listen to him and feel he is very sincere; other times I feel like he's a lying lawyer. I don't know what to think some days. lol

Yep, the baby robins are starting to stand up in the nest and flex their little wings. They're covered in feathers! Dale, the closest they've come is yesterday and today, as they're trying out their wings in a standing position while still in the nest. I'm just waiting to hear the thumps on the porch and hope they make it to the grass! We haven't really heard any peeping/cheeping yet .. I don't know when they start to make noise!

Put me down for 'lying lawyer'.

(LOL)

The thing that puts me most off Obama is not what he says so much as how he says it. He's got this arrogant, clipped style of speaking. And the way he whistles those Ss....

I still miss W. Warts and all.
