Ben, carrying you in my tummy for the eight months you wanted in was one of the most joyful times in life. We saw the best hummingbirds on our daily walks around Phoenix. You are "my" precious, sweet, smart, strong, amazing, incredible, loving, little boy. You've changed people's minds and some lives by simply being who you are. You are a gift.
And true to "Ben" form ... up at 5:55 a.m. to look at the surprise decorations that "appeared" overnight! Thomas The Tank Engine theme is in order. Ben found his stash of gifts and began the festivities on his own. lol In typical "autie" form, the favorite gift [so far] is the brand spankin' new 2006 Road Atlas of the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Next, a new KJV soft cover Bible. Then, a DVD set of the "Unauthorized Beatles." "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" [funny song for an FC kid] :o)
On to the day and lots of surprises. We're bringing treats to the therapy center today. Ben has a big blue ribbon pin for his shirt that reads "Birthday Boy!" This year, Ben is very aware that this is *his* special day and he is enjoying the birthday greetings, wishes, and festive decorations. Our digital camera went kaphlooey after 3 pics [argh ... a Murphy's Law moment!] so we'll be picking up a disposable later. In the meantime ... hang onto yer quackeroos and let's shine with the engines! :::::quack quack shoo shoo shoo ... he's my little quackeroo!:::::
p.s. Ben ... I won't let on that you still love Pooh Bear at age 8. [But, you know what? Your Mama is 49 and she still loves Pooh Bear] :o)
Until later,
Many happy joy joy moments of the day,
Tink

Happy Birthday Buckaroo!
a friendly friend
Thank you, friendly friend.
My little cowpoke had a fine day, had a jelly bean festival, and is thoroughly stimming on his new Road Atlas and KJV Bible. Go figure.
