Anyway, Dynamo is back from an extended, erm, vacation. Yeah, that's it! Vacation. :o) Wait until you get to read the blog entry called "Inside The Invisible Circus." But we'll get to that shortly. Daughter Sarah spent the better part of her day building "towers" and various buildings out of moving boxes. Last night, Annie had read about the plans to begin building the "Freedom Tower" in NYC.
And then Annie saw the model for the tower and was, once again, fairly disgusted at the plans to rebuild such a monstrosity over the site of the imploded Towers. Here are a couple clips from the story that put the Salad Bowl on fast spin:

The intention is to build the tallest building in North America to fill the hole in the New York skyline left by the 2001 terrorist attacks.
"It is going to be a symbol of our freedom and independence," Gov. George Pataki said at a news conference on the ramp into the site, according to The Associated Press.
The deal settles financing for the "Freedom Tower," the planned 1,776-foot building to be erected on the northern end of the site.
Freedom Tower construction will move forward with installment of foundation footings. The building is to rise 1,360 feet, the height of the original twin towers. A spire will raise it to the height symbolic for the year of the American Revolution.
Gov. George Pataki predicted that the rebuilt trade center will "anchor the financial capital of the world and make our nation proud."
Annie's fairly certain that what the U.S. *doesn't* need is to continue servitude to Mammon. Here's a photo of the model. The Tower is slated to completion in 2009. Just a note on that number --- 9. According to some numerology thinkers, the number 9 is associated with that old fiery planet Mars. Energetic distributor of things such as fires, explosions, endings. Maybe not such a good year. Anyway. Here it is:

Sarah declared the Tower fit for Candyland!! Eh, yeah.
There's a spark of magic in your eyes
Candyland appears each time you smile
Never thought that fairy tales came true
But they come true when I'm near you
You're a genie in disguise
Full of wonder and surprise and...
Chorus: Betcha by golly wow! (wow!) (wow!)
Maybe Candyland, but not exactly the one Sarah had in mind ...
Annie remains highly suspicious of tall towers and communication portals. Sound transmission and EMF emanations have some highly questionable associations. Sure, sure ... Annie hears you now:
Aunt Em: "Now, Dorothy, dear, stop imagining things. You always get yourself into a fret over nothing. Now, you just help us out today, and find yourself a place where you won't get into any trouble."
Dorothy: "Some place where there isn't any trouble. Do you suppose there is such a place, Toto? There must be. It's not a place you can get to by a boat or a train. It's far, far away— behind the moon— beyond the rain—
PROFESSOR MARVEL - Acclaimed By THE CROWNED HEADS OF EUROPE - Let Him Read Your PAST PRESENT and FUTURE In His Crystal - Also Juggling and Sleight of Hand... (Sign on the Professor's circus wagon)
"Professor Marvel never guesses— he knows!"
"This, this is the same genuine, magic, authentic crystal used by the Priests of Isis and Osiris in the days of the Pharaohs of Egypt— in which Cleopatra first saw the approach of Julius Caesar and Marc Anthony, and—and so on, and so on. Now, you—you'd better close your eyes, my child, for a moment, in order to be better in tune with the infinite. We—we can't do these things without reaching out into the infinite."
"Sylvester (the horse), we better get under cover, looks like quite a storm coming on -- a Whopper, to use the vernacular of the peasantry!" -----The Wizard of Oz 1939
Hurry, Hurry! Step Right Up! Nothing to fear, folks! Come on in and Marvel with the Professor at what flows beyond the illusion of the Seven Seas! The Mothers of All Invention! One thin dime in time will afford a peek into the churning, bubbling, swirling concatenation of light and shadow called .... Da Black Whole.
Excerpt from "Inside The Invisible Circus:"
".... little dynamo was thinking of the next generation of America's sons, and gazing at the Beach Boys' first album cover, at those faces of hope, determination, and trust as they faced west for their "sea safari" back to Mother who, what force of mind, really was behind the Curtain of postwar America -- especially the neopagan, chthonic "revolution" of the Sixties? ...."
".... how did the enthusiasm, righteousness, and incipient spiritual revolution of the late Fifties/early Sixties turn into . . .
well, into What We Got Now? ...." [see the Little Dynamo's newest piece]
