To change the clocks.

I guess so that we can feel at peace with the nature of time. lol
Every year - we forget to observe the time change. Or, perhaps, it forgets to observe us. heh! That was another lovely aspect of living in the desert SW of Arizona .. no time changes! So, for all our friends who inwardly resist this warped adjustment of "time," ... here's the reminder. Maybe that's it. We "unconsciously" resist the imposition by some governing entity to monkey with seasonal and natural flow of light/time. So, we "forget." Who knows. :o)
The official change occurs at 2 a.m. Sunday, April 2, local time. Wherever local may be. lol Daylight-saving time isn't observed in Arizona, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Marianas.
Here's a funky photo of the first atomic clock built in 1949 by the U.S. National Bureau of Standards. It's core was an ammonia-regulated quartz crystal.
Notice the hands on the dial show 1:50 [military time 13:50 hours if p.m.] Here's a weird tidbit from Annie's Salad Bowl and Weird Wagon: do an image search on the word "clock." Note that in nearly 99.9% of the images, the hands show the time as 1:50 [1350] The Buddha clock was different at 12:28 [Annie thinks that is a reference to the Teacher/Student position in some mystical traditions in numbers.] There was only one other time noted out of about 10,000 graphic images of clocks. That was 1:00 [or 13:00 hours if p.m.] That clock was also an "eastern spiritually oriented" clock site. Kind of strange.By far, my gambling is limited to crossing city streets on foot with three complex special needs kids in tow ... all looking in different directions ..... LOL ! However, given the oddity of the times, maybe we'll play that number in some kind of lottery. 150 or 1350. It might be fun. We'll let you know what happens. Take good care, brightest blessings to you, and remember to push the clock one hour forward at bedtime.
xo,
Annie and Crew
