These cults were based on human sacrifice. Why would a 20th century resort reproduce the cult ceremonies? At the minimum, it demonstrates an attraction to the ceremonial practices of the cult, i.e. adoration of destruction, blood, barbarity and sacrifice of children.

I think even Mr. Ross - as spectacular a witness as can be - has missed the deeper core of the ritual issue.

A giant concrete owl? Moloch ?... but that's masculine! What did you say?! Annie hears the titters and snickers.

Well, consider that the "owl" was the sacred companion or energy of the Greek GODDESS of War: Athena.

In Shamanic lores, the owl is associated - of course - with night vision, ability to see in the dark, and is connected to the Moon. This is decidedly feminine, is it not?

Lilith as the Mesopotamian night-demon terrorized and devoured male children.

Owl Woman of the Plains Tribes was a bridgekeeper to the abyss between Heaven and Hell. Those souls who would not recognize her would be cast into Hell. Sounds like a will to problem to me!

Askalaphos was the "screech-owl" who reigned with Persephone & Haides in the Underworld.

I know ... I know ... both men and women do, indeed, worship the darkness but, overall, Annie feels this doesn't bode well for Jung's syzygy. Or the complementarity in Union of a Whole/Wise Man and Woman. We give too much "power" over to one side and the World we see today is the effect. Unbalanced, psychotic, addicted, perverted. The pendulum must swing toward Center. And it can't when those we've appointed with power *over* us push the needle to the darkness. And the darkness that is glorified for that power is feminine. Out of the Sea - we were born out from the chaos - the feminine - and it still wants to retain the original form.

There is no way to get around it.

Mr. Ross tells us about the plans for an "American Union" to be instituted, by year end 2006, through the policies of "elite" members of the U.S. government. Plans include formation of a globalized "union" of all of Europe, North & South America, Africa, and eventually the world. Considering that the dark powers as ruling force of our very souls are worshipped and glorified --- and if you still don't believe that it is decidedly the darkest aspects of feminine energies that are actually being given burnt offerings --- look at who was just elected as President of Chile. Who is now in power position in Germany? Who is put into the overt power seat in an important country in Africa?
What hints in the U.S. press are we being shown by our very own First Lady? A female president in the "near future." So what?

Well, it doesn't bode well for men, does it? Who do we tend to demonize and cast off in this culture? Men, right?

No. Annie's soul is seeded with a Libra/Virgo duality that strives and pushes for honest and impartial justice, balancing the scales, and equilibrium. The World and Earth Soul are precariously tilted. You feel it, too, don't you? Every so often, when you really stop and *feel* through the veil of the parallel --- you glimpse the tilt. You get to experience as above - so below. What rages in the spirit, rages physically.
