Wolf Moon ~*~ Wolf Brothers

FIREBALL ALERT: Don't forget, the Stardust capsule returns to Earth on Sunday morning, and it will be visible as a brilliant fireball from some western US states.

TONIGHT: SATURN & THE WOLF MOON ---

According to folklore, tonight's full moon is called the "Wolf Moon," named after the singing packs of wolves once heard by Native Americans amid the deep snows of January. The Wolf Moon of January 2006 has a special companion--Saturn.

Full Wolf Moon - January

Amid the cold and deep snows of midwinter, the wolf packs howled hungrily outside Indian villages. Thus, the name for January's full Moon. Sometimes it was also referred to as the Old Moon, or the Moon After Yule.

In a spiritually bereft starving Nation, even a formerly loyal wolf would eat his brother. Happens every day. Those werewolves of London drinking pina coladas at Trader Vic's --- with perfect hair --- weren't imaginary figments created by Warren Zevon. Nope! We wake up in the morning and see 'em in the mirror.
